Dave and Becky are Officially Grandparents (We stifle a GROAN!)
On October 1, 1999 at 12:10am Rebekah Marie Tate joined the World Community with her mother, Lily Way, and father, James Tate in attendance. Jim’s appearance was voluntary.
Rebekah (or, as we wantonly corrupt the name after an appropriate time, Bekah) arrived at 6 lbs. 14 oz. and 20-1/4″ after a 16 hour labor during which the value of Lamaze training was called to question and calls home to Mom were deemed useless in the realm of “kiss and make it better”.
Rebekah, Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa (shudder) are living happily as the Iowa City Great Adventure continues through another generation. It might also be worth noting that the birth of this baby makes our 5-year-old son, Kevin, an uncle!
