Edith Sieg Update

A little “news” from Chicagoland.

I have enjoyed taken photos for a long time. With the encouragement of my family I recently entered a photo contest and submitted a photo to a newspaper. Four of my entries in the photo contest earned an award and my first photo was published in the local newspaper a couple of days ago.

I like to take pictures where ever I go, but especially of the beautiful outdoors. Going through my photos from this year I have culled maybe about 200 photos that I think may be saleable but as of yet I have no clue how to go about finding potential buyers.

If anyone in the class is willing to answer some of my questions about finding outlets for my work or share photography tips I’d love to hear from you. For example:I have trouble photographing bright red roses. They rarely come out the way I’d like.

Can or even should I try to sell a photo of a little girl on a carnival ride or a guy catching a fish without knowing their names or having a “model release”?

Greetings,

Edith
