Don Rinehart Update

Hi Dave :

Once again, thanks for all you do to keep the ’73ers together! Sounds like a great party coming…wish we could be in IC for…hope to make the next reunion.

Just a quick update from Arizona for anyone interested. Tami (Thompson ’74) and I have purchased a small home near Prescott, AZ (el. 5100 ft). The Phoenix summers were starting to get to us and playing golf in 110 degree heat really sucks! The Prescott house is within 5 minutes of 3 great golf courses and only about an hour’s drive from our home in New River (north of Phoenix). We will still keep that house and son Chris will run his vehicle repair business there and take care of the property. Plan to stay there more in the winter months, but Prescott will definitely be home during the heat! Email and home address to stay the same for contact info.

I have also officially retired from “Phoenix’s Favorite 50’s Band – Come Back Buddy” after nearly 12 years. The travel and wear and tear on this 60 year old was getting to be too much 125-150 gigs a year (especially without roadies)! Lots of great memories from playing on Fremont Street, the Strip and Convention Centers in Las Vegas, the Whiskey a Go Go in L.A., corporate gigs in Phoenix/Tucson and plenty of sock hops from San Diego to Austin, Texas…but time to retire the drumsticks.

Spending the rest of our time baby sitting and spoiling our granddaughter (almost 2 yrs old). Daughter Nicole and husband both have great jobs at USAA Insurance in Phoenix.

If any ’73ers are out this w…look us up! Here’s to good health for everyone…after all, we are now getting “up there” in age! Steve Riggan, you know who you are!
